Humankind has always sought to be free. It is a beautiful, innate quality that has been embraced, advanced, fought and died over by generations. Such freedoms that our societies have gained have never been given easily and always at a price as individuals, corporations, governments also seek to control people, restrict freedom or cancel them altogether.

LIBERTATIO believes that the ideals of those generations of Freethinkers, like the Levellers movement in England in the 1640s, do not die and should continue to be championed, promoted and fought for. When the Levellers began their historic battle they began writing pamphlets promoting freedom of speech, equality of mankind or the right to equal votes. It resulted in a manifesto, “An agreement of the Free people of England” demanding the very rights we today enjoy. For this many were imprisoned or killed.

Today all across the globe, the very core of our known freedoms are violated, assaulted and attacked by governments, cohorts of an elitist political class, unelected Bureaucrats their corporatist backers and funded non governmental organisations, think tanks and academic supporters. As the principle of  rule of law are diminished LIBERTATIO believes that we should once again promote the principles of freedom using the internet as our medium for our freethinking pamphlets and ideas.

We will be a platform for those who have been abandoned or ignored or fight injustice and suppression. We will support writers, opinion formers or creative ideas from across the globe and back those challenging those seeking to control us.

We are not linked to any political party or organisation and welcome ideas, views and opinions from all philosophical or political spectrums providing they advance the ideas of freedom for all not tyranny of the minority, support freedom of speech not cancelling limitations, promote religious freedom not idealogical restrictions and believe in true equality of people to have views, opinions or ideas that differ and as a community we believe we are better embracing difference not advocating coercive conformist control.
